STRUTT YOUR STUFF! 2019 went off with
a bang on Saturday 16 March.  @strutt.your.stuff

The event was hosted by @spanhouse and attended extremely well by 200+ people who were thoroughly entertained by the iconic inclusive fashion parade.

Yve Design were lucky enough to curate their art exhibition, A Touch of Red.

As a part of Strutt Your Stuff 2019, an open submission exhibition has been designed to house works submitted by the community and community art groups to reflect ‘strutt your stuff’ and its sub-theme ‘a touch of red’.

Each artist presents their own interpretation using a medium/s of their choice with the only limitation being its size of 30 x 30cm.

From poodles to abstract paintings, from jellyfish to mosaics here showcases the breadth of interpretation of one idea .....with a touch of red.

Artworks were for sale with proceeds going back to the artist less 10% commission going towards an arts-based scholarship awarded to a Darebin resident following the event.

On Thursday 29th November Cameo, an exhibition by Art for All Abilities program (Span Community House, Thornbury) opened with fanfare and many smiles.
The staff at Darebin Arts Centre ensured support for not only the opening, but for
the exhibition in general held within their great exhibition space.

Cameo continues until 20 December at Darebin Arts Centre, cnr Bell St and St Georges Rd.

Thank you to all involved.

The members of the Art for All Abilities class program held at Span Community House in Thornbury come together with Yve Design to celebrate work created in 2018.

This year has largely focused on portraiture and the idea that it can extend to various themes and artistic applications. The multi-level expression of self through differing briefs and mediums have provided works that not only capture each member’s individual creativity and style, but their ability to produce profoundly captivating works.

Dominique, Rowena, Christy, Michael, Julie, Tina, Wendy, Helen and Anastasia meet each week with art facilitator Sheena Mathieson to celebrate, communicate and express art through the eyes of recycled materials and creative projects and briefs. Volunteers, Julian, Andy, Amy and Catherine; and support workers, Kathy and Fiona, have contributed to the experience and also feature in Cameo.
