Art, design, exhibition curation and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community are strong passions and from an early age until today have been a driving force in education, volunteering and employment choices resulting in Bachelor of Design (Graphic Design) and more recently in being nominated to project manage and assistant curate Postcode 3000: a city transformed?, opening in August 2013 at City Gallery, Melbourne. The success of the exhibition drove her to establish Yve Design, an independent exhibition management, curation and graphic & art design business delivering its inaugural exhibition in April 2015.
Previously, following four years of tertiary study and two and a half years abroad Catherine was eager to experience local government and how it played a role alongside private and industry sectors, commencing employment at the City of Melbourne (CoM) in 2004. After twelve years employment with CoM in the City Design Division, Catherine has outstanding skills and passionate interest in project management, public art and stakeholder engagement.
